Upon A Hopeful Finale

I sit and ponder what I’ve done. A year full of mishaps, broken dreams, though battles won. But I know there’s change brewinG to come:

I fret not for the challenges thronged upon me. A new world which I never knew: Urgent, Eager and political Presented in a phony smile’s veneer, Thankfully, altogether absent of adolescent fears. Grown I have, and well I’ve done. Perhaps not in the way most become, Successful, or dressed well, but I’ve come anyhow. Clad in intelligence, zeal and know-how. More clever than a fox, and meeker than mouse, I’ve seen the folly, I’ve endured the doubts, Of man, of happenstance, of a will not promised, Though the will’s not promised, it’s etched still, In the stones of a God who knows me till, The Heavens fall at his command, and grateful still I am, to be guarded in a great embrace, by many who love unconditionally, who track no trace, of all the things to which I admit: the good, the bad, and ugly of man’s folly, I am guilty of it all, But forgiven still to my knees I do fall.

Kindness and gratitude, and my new endeavors, ; they’re what I embrace now FOREVER.
